We only impose a restriction on the value of the debt for our international services. There are no restrictions on age, volume or whereabouts of debts and we are happy to handle an entire portfolio of accounts or a one-off request. Due to long term relationships with our international agents we can normally offer our services without file opening fees, which are compulsory in most countries. However, in some cases we are unable to get this wavered. In this instance we will advise you of the fee prior to the commencement of the work.
We undertake to provide you with regular, fully computerised reports on the status of your accounts and, where possible, will request that the debtor remits direct to your bank account.
We understand the complications that can arise from pursuing an international debtor through the courts. There is the first question of which country holds the jurisdiction for the contract that your debtor has breached? We are never gun ho in issuing proceedings, even more so when the matter is across boarders, as costs can quickly exceed the claim. Considerations have to be made regarding travel and translation costs if the jurisdiction is outside the UK.
We always have this in mind prior to engaging legal action on your behalf. We institute a full investigation of your debtor, in order that we can advise of the best course of action and provide you with a candid assessment as to the likely outcome, and more importantly your debtors ability to satisfy your claim should your legal action be successful.
